Job Description

Every business runs on numbers. But the businesses that run well are the ones where those numbers are accurate, timely, and trusted. Nahla Al Wadi, a leading FMCG trading company operating across the GCC, is looking for an Accountant to manage its financial operations in the UAE.

You will manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial record-keeping. You will prepare financial reports, assist with VAT filings, support audits, and ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards. This is a role for someone who takes pride in precision and understands that accurate books are the foundation of a healthy business. You will also work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure that financial information flows smoothly across the organisation.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with relevant experience in the UAE. You are proficient in accounting software and MS Excel, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and you take ownership of your work. Immediate availability is an advantage.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in the UAE. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

To apply:
Send your CV to ghr@nahlaalwadi.com with "Accountant" in the subject line. The last date for applications is 15 October 2026.
When you apply, take a moment to make your application stand out. Highlight your experience with UAE VAT, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting, because these are the areas where the hiring team will look for immediate capability. In your cover letter, describe a time you identified and resolved a discrepancy in financial records, showing your attention to detail and your ability to investigate issues independently. If you have experience in FMCG, retail, or trading, mention it clearly, as it will demonstrate your understanding of the industry and its financial rhythms. If you are proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or an ERP system, state that explicitly so the hiring team knows you can step in without a long learning curve. Finally, confirm your availability to join, as immediate starters are preferred and will be prioritised during shortlisting.
Feel free to share this opportunity with anyone in your network who might be a strong fit.
