Role Overview – INK IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Service Now Business Analyst for a short-term, high-impact remote engagement focused on improving Application Portfolio coverage and data quality within ServiceNow. This position requires 5+ years of experience with project duration of 4-8 weeks and high probability of extension.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis – You will gather business requirements from stakeholders, conduct requirement elicitation sessions, document functional and technical requirements, analyze business needs, create requirements specifications, validate requirements with stakeholders, prioritize requirements, and ensure comprehensive understanding of business objectives.

Application Data Analysis – You will analyze multiple application data sources within the client environment, examine data completeness and accuracy, identify data inconsistencies and gaps, assess data quality issues, evaluate application metadata, analyze naming conventions, and establish baseline understanding of application portfolio data landscape.

Data Collection and Validation – You will collect application data from various sources including CMDB, asset systems, and business databases, validate data accuracy through cross-referencing, verify information with application owners, correct inaccurate data, standardize data formats, ensure data completeness, and maintain high data quality standards.

Application Rationalization – You will rationalize and de-duplicate applications with similar or inconsistent naming, identify duplicate application records, standardize application names, consolidate redundant entries, resolve naming conflicts, establish consistent identifiers, merge duplicate records, and create clean application datasets.

Cross-Source Data Mapping – You will map application names across various data sources, correlate applications across disparate systems, create mapping documentation, establish relationships between data sources, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure consistent application identification across the enterprise technology landscape.

CMDB Data Enrichment – You will complete and validate application attribute fields in CMDB including owners, criticality, technology stack, hosting environment, vendor information, dependencies, and other attributes. You will identify missing applications, discover retired applications, update Business Applications table, and ensure comprehensive application data.

SME Interviews and Research – You will conduct Subject Matter Expert interviews with application owners and technical teams to gather information, research application data using public sources, validate findings with stakeholders, document application intelligence, compile comprehensive data, and ensure accuracy through multiple verification methods.

Process Mapping and Documentation – You will create process maps and workflows, document current state processes, design future state processes, develop process documentation, create user guides, maintain requirements traceability, document decisions, and ensure comprehensive documentation throughout the engagement.

Stakeholder Engagement – You will engage with diverse stakeholders including IT leaders, application owners, and business users, facilitate stakeholder workshops, communicate findings effectively, manage stakeholder expectations, build consensus, present analysis results, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Progress Tracking and Reporting – You will work semi-autonomously, provide regular progress updates, prepare status reports, communicate achievements and challenges, track completion metrics, document findings and decisions, maintain transparent communication, and ensure stakeholders have visibility into analysis progress.

Agile Collaboration – You will work within Agile/Scrum frameworks, participate in sprint ceremonies, collaborate with development teams, refine user stories, prioritize backlog items, validate delivered solutions, and support iterative delivery throughout the engageme
