Job Description
Role Overview – VoIP Office is hiring a Cloud-Based VoIP Solutions Specialist for a fully remote, work-from-home position based in the United Kingdom. This position is ideal for experienced VoIP and telecommunications professionals with strong technical expertise, customer service capabilities, and the ability to design, implement, configure, and support cloud-based VoIP communication systems for business clients.
VoIP System Implementation and Configuration – You will implement and configure cloud-based VoIP systems by deploying VoIP solutions for clients, configuring phone systems, setting up extensions and user accounts, implementing auto-attendants and call routing, configuring voicemail systems, establishing call queues, and ensuring proper system setup that meets client business communication requirements.
Client Consultation and Requirements Analysis – You will consult with clients and analyze requirements by conducting needs assessments, understanding business communication workflows, identifying pain points, recommending appropriate VoIP solutions, designing system architectures, creating implementation plans, and providing expert guidance that aligns technology solutions with client objectives.
System Design and Solution Architecture – You will design VoIP solutions and system architecture by creating network diagrams, planning IP phone deployments, designing call flow architectures, configuring SIP trunking, establishing VoIP network topology, planning bandwidth requirements, ensuring quality of service (QoS), and delivering scalable, reliable communication solutions.
Technical Installation and Provisioning – You will perform technical installation and provisioning by configuring VoIP platforms and PBX systems, provisioning IP phones and desk phones, setting up softphones and mobile applications, configuring desk phones remotely, implementing unified communications features, integrating with CRM and business systems, and deploying complete communication solutions.
Network Configuration and Optimization – You will configure and optimize networks for VoIP by implementing network QoS policies, configuring VLANs for voice traffic, optimizing router and firewall settings for VoIP, implementing SIP ALG configurations, managing bandwidth allocation, troubleshooting network latency and jitter issues, and ensuring optimal network performance for voice quality.
SIP Trunking and Carrier Integration – You will manage SIP trunking and carrier integration by configuring SIP trunk connections, integrating with PSTN gateways, implementing number porting, coordinating with telecommunications carriers, managing DIDs (Direct Inward Dialing), setting up emergency services (E911), and ensuring reliable connectivity to public telephone networks.
Call Routing and IVR Configuration – You will configure call routing and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) systems by implementing intelligent call routing rules, setting up time-based routing, configuring ring groups and hunt groups, designing IVR menus and voice prompts, implementing call forwarding and transfer features, and optimizing call distribution for business needs.
Unified Communications Integration – You will implement unified communications features by integrating voice with video conferencing, deploying instant messaging and presence features, setting up screen sharing and collaboration tools, implementing mobile and desktop applications, enabling unified communications across devices, and delivering comprehensive communication solutions.
