Role Overview:

AFOL Metropolitana is hiring a Cloud Operation Engineer for a full-time, remote position serving Italy-based operations. This position is ideal for skilled technical professionals with strong cloud infrastructure expertise, operational excellence knowledge, and the ability to manage cloud platforms effectively, ensure system reliability, monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot technical issues, support deployments, and maintain operational excellence within a dynamic technology environment.

Cloud Infrastructure Management – You will manage cloud infrastructure by overseeing cloud resources, monitoring infrastructure health, and ensuring optimal performance. You will manage virtual machines, storage, networking, and cloud services. You will maintain infrastructure documentation and support infrastructure scalability and efficiency.

Cloud Platform Operations – You will operate cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud by managing platform services, coordinating platform updates, and supporting platform stability. You will monitor platform performance, manage platform resources, and ensure platform reliability. You will maintain platform compliance and security standards.

System Monitoring and Performance Optimization – You will monitor system performance by implementing monitoring solutions, tracking performance metrics, and identifying optimization opportunities. You will analyze performance data, implement performance improvements, and maintain optimal system responsiveness. You will set up alerts and dashboards for visibility.

Incident Response and Troubleshooting – You will respond to infrastructure incidents by investigating issues, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions. You will troubleshoot system failures, address performance degradation, and restore service quickly. You will minimize downtime and maintain service continuity.

Infrastructure Deployment and Configuration – You will deploy infrastructure components by configuring systems, provisioning resources, and establishing infrastructure environments. You will manage infrastructure as code, automate deployments, and support consistent infrastructure setup. You will coordinate deployment testing and validation.

Database Administration Support – You will provide database administration support by managing databases, optimizing queries, and ensuring database performance. You will monitor database health, coordinate backups, and support database scaling. You will assist with database troubleshooting and performance tuning.
