ole Overview – TxLabz is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer for a full-time remote position in the USA. This role is suited to a security-focused professional with strong knowledge of cybersecurity, threat detection, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and risk mitigation. The successful candidate will help protect systems, networks, applications, and data while supporting the organization's overall security posture.
Security Monitoring – You will monitor systems, networks, applications, and security tools to identify suspicious activity, potential threats, and security incidents. You should respond to alerts promptly and follow established security procedures.
Threat Detection – You will analyze security events, investigate potential threats, and identify indicators of compromise. You should help detect and respond to cybersecurity risks before they impact business operations.
Vulnerability Management – You will identify, assess, and help remediate vulnerabilities across systems and applications. You should prioritize security weaknesses based on potential business and technical impact.
Incident Response – You will assist with investigating and responding to cybersecurity incidents. You should document findings, coordinate with relevant teams, and support appropriate containment and remediation activities.
Security Tools & Technologies – You will work with security monitoring, endpoint protection, vulnerability-scanning, SIEM, and other cybersecurity technologies. You should maintain effective use of security tools and processes.
Risk Assessment – You will support security assessments and help identify potential risks across infrastructure, applications, networks, and data. You should recommend practical measures to reduce identified risks.
Security Engineering – You will help implement and maintain security controls, configurations, and technical solutions designed to protect systems and applications.
Security Documentation – You will maintain security documentation, incident records, vulnerability reports, procedures, and technical findings. You should ensure information is accurate and properly documented.
Compliance Support – You will support cybersecurity policies, security standards, audits, and compliance-related activities when required. You should help ensure security practices remain aligned with organizational requirements.
Cross-Team Collaboration – You will work with IT, engineering, development, infrastructure, and other teams to address security requirements and resolve technical security issues.
Continuous Improvement – You will stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, tools, and best practices and recommend improvements to strengthen security operations.
