About the Role

Cognifyz is urgently hiring a Data Analyst to join our remote team and gain practical experience in data analysis, visualization, and insights generation. This remote internship offers an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates from any educational background to develop valuable data analysis skills while earning a stipend. You'll be responsible for working with real datasets to extract meaningful insights and support business decision-making, analyzing data using tools like Excel, Python, SQL, or specialized analytics platforms. Your role will involve cleaning and preparing data for analysis, identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies in datasets, and creating visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries. You'll generate reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders, learn statistical concepts and their practical applications in business contexts, and assist in building data models and performing exploratory data analysis. You'll collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and deliver analytical solutions, maintain documentation of analysis methodologies and findings, and explore data science concepts including basic machine learning applications. The ideal candidate is curious about data, enjoys solving problems through analysis, and is eager to learn modern data analytics tools and techniques while building a portfolio of analytical projects in a supportive remote environment.

What We're Looking For

We need a motivated with basic analytical thinking and interest in working with data to uncover insights. You should have foundational knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data manipulation. The ideal candidate has interest in learning data analysis tools like Python (pandas, numpy), SQL for database queries, or visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI. You should possess attention to detail in handling data accurately and identifying patterns or anomalies. Good communication skills to present findings clearly and collaborate with remote team members are essential. Reliable internet connection and your own computer setup for remote work are required. Self-motivation, curiosity to explore datasets and ask meaningful questions, and commitment to learning statistical concepts are crucial. Any coursework in statistics, mathematics, or data science will be considered advantageous but not mandatory. Basic understanding of data visualization principles, willingness to learn programming for data analysis, and eagerness to develop both technical and business acumen are qualities we're seeking in the ideal candidate.
