About the Role

Encred is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with 5 years of hands-on expertise to join our remote team and build robust data infrastructure and pipelines. This full-time remote position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned data professional to work on complex data engineering projects while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that process large volumes of data efficiently, building and optimizing data architectures, databases, and ETL processes to support business intelligence and analytics needs. Your role will involve working with various data sources including structured and unstructured data, implementing data integration solutions, and ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability across all systems. You'll collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. You'll optimize database performance, implement data security and governance protocols, and develop automated workflows for data processing and transformation. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in data engineering technologies, proven experience in building enterprise-level data solutions, and the ability to work independently while managing complex projects from conception to deployment in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

We need a data engineering professional with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in data engineering, ETL development, and data pipeline architecture. You must have strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and automation. Expertise in SQL and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB) is essential. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or Airflow, along with cloud platforms like AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), or Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow). Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and building data lakes is highly valued. You should have strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and database optimization techniques. Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred. The ideal candidate possesses excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and attention to detail in handling complex data challenges. Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders are crucial.
