Role Overview – Smart Edge Solutions' client is hiring a Data Engineer for a fully remote position focused on the Minerva Platform Data Acquisition Team. This role is ideal for highly skilled data engineering professionals with deep expertise in ETL/ELT tools, data integration, and DevOps practices. You will play an instrumental role in unifying RSDD APIs (TXR002 and ADE) into a single, centralised calculation data service that supports all current and future platform consumers.

Data Integration and Transformation Solutions – You will lead the design, development, and deployment of robust data integration and transformation solutions by leveraging Pentaho, Talend, Denodo, and SAS, ensuring seamless data flow, accuracy, and reliability across the Minerva Platform ecosystem.

Scalable Data Pipeline Architecture – You will architect and implement scalable, high-performance data pipelines and services that support business intelligence and analytics platforms by designing modular, resilient architectures that handle growing data volumes and evolving business requirements with efficiency and reliability.

Business Requirements and Technical Specification – You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications by engaging with stakeholders, understanding use cases, and designing data solutions that align with both business objectives and technical feasibility.

Agile and Scrum Leadership – You will champion Agile and Scrum methodologies by driving effective sprint planning, ensuring timely delivery of data engineering tasks, facilitating retrospectives, and promoting continuous improvement across the team to maintain high velocity and quality standards.

DevOps Best Practices and CI/CD Implementation – You will implement DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerised deployments by establishing automation frameworks, streamlining deployment processes, and ensuring consistent, repeatable, and efficient delivery of data solutions.
