Role Overview — Covetus is seeking skilled and adaptable Full-Stack Software Engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain modern software applications in a fully remote environment. The role involves working across both front-end and back-end development, building reliable features, integrating APIs, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, practical full-stack development experience, and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a distributed team.

Full-Stack Application Development — Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across front-end and back-end layers. Translate business and technical requirements into practical software solutions. Build reliable, maintainable, and well-structured application components. Contribute to new product features as well as improvements to existing applications.

Front-End Development — Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern front-end technologies. Build reusable UI components and maintain consistent application experiences. Work closely with design and product teams to implement functional interfaces. Identify and resolve front-end performance and usability issues.

Back-End Development — Develop server-side applications, services, and business logic. Build and maintain secure and reliable APIs. Integrate back-end services with databases and external systems. Troubleshoot application issues and improve system performance.

Database & Data Management — Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases depending on project requirements. Design and optimize database queries and data structures. Maintain data integrity and support efficient data access. Assist with database-related troubleshooting and performance improvements.

API & System Integration — Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and other application services. Connect internal systems with third-party platforms and services. Handle authentication, data exchange, and integration requirements. Test integrations and resolve connectivity or data-related issues.

Testing & Code Quality — Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Develop and maintain appropriate unit and integration tests. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback. Identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, and implement reliable solutions.

Development & Deployment — Work with version-control systems and established development workflows. Support application deployment and release activities. Collaborate with DevOps and technical teams when required. Monitor application performance and assist with production issue resolution.

Team Collaboration — Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, QA professionals, and other stakeholders. Participate in technical discussions, planning sessions, and code reviews. Communicate development progress, challenges, and solutions clearly. Contribute ideas for improving development processes and application quality.

Remote Work & Communication — Manage development tasks effectively while working remotely. Maintain reliable communication with distributed team members. Organize priorities and meet agreed project deadlines. Use collaboration and project-management tools effectively in a remote environment.
