Role Overview – Superside is looking for versatile Graphic Motion Designer with 5+ years of experience who can plug into our workflows with speed, precision, and creative excellence. This role is ideal for motion designers who know how to systematize motion production at scale through automation, templating, and efficient workflows for high-volume production across social, digital, and campaign assets.

Scalable Motion Template Development – You will design, optimize, and maintain scalable motion templates for high-volume production across various channels. Your template development work involves creating flexible, reusable systems that enable rapid content creation while maintaining brand consistency, quality standards, and creative excellence across thousands of assets.

Storyteq Template Creation – You will create Storyteq templates including parameter mapping, asset structuring, variable fields, logic setup, and ensuring seamless ingest of CSV/XML data. Your Storyteq expertise enables automated production workflows where data drives personalized content at scale, reducing manual work while maintaining creative quality.

Automated Asset Generation – You will use compsfromspreadsheets or similar tools to drive automated asset generation from structured datasets. This automation capability allows you to transform spreadsheet data into finished motion graphics efficiently, enabling production volumes that would be impossible through manual processes.

Motion Graphics Design and Animation – You will design and animate motion graphics with polished, brand-consistent execution when automation isn't required. Your creative skills ensure that both automated and manually crafted work meets high creative standards and effectively communicates brand messages.

Workflow Collaboration and Optimization – You will collaborate with Superside's Motion, Creative Ops, and Automation teams to define efficient workflows, identify automation opportunities, and improve template performance. Your collaborative approach helps the team continuously evolve processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and scale production capabilities.

Expression and Rigging Implementation – You will implement expressions, rigging systems, and best-practice templatization for reusability, consistency, and speed. Advanced After Effects techniques enable you to create sophisticated templates that adapt dynamically to different content while maintaining animation quality and reducing production time.

Technical Troubleshooting – You will troubleshoot file structure issues, render problems, dynamic text layout challenges, and automation edge cases. Strong troubleshooting skills ensure templates work reliably across different scenarios, data inputs, and production conditions without constant manual intervention.

Efficiency and Quality Balance – You will balance creativity and efficiency to deliver high-quality work on tight timelines. Understanding when to automate and when to craft manually, optimizing for both speed and quality, ensures deliverables meet client expectations within production constraints.

Motion Design Experience – 5+ years of experience in motion design is required, including real experience creating automated or templated motion systems for large-scale production. Your background should demonstrate progression from traditional motion design into systematic, scalable production approaches.

After Effects Templatization Expertise – Proven expertise in After Effects templatization is essential, including efficient file structuring, expression-driven automation, precomp rigging, and dynamic text, layout, and replacement workflows. Mastery of these techniques enables you to build templates that are both powerful and maintainable.

Storyteq Experience – Hands-on experience with Storyteq is required or strongly preferred. You should be skilled at building modular templates, using datasets (CSV/XML), creating logic-based behaviors, understanding templating best practices, and troubleshooting automated rendering workflows within the Storyteq platform.

Automation Tool Familiarity – Familiarity with tools like compsfromspreadsheets, dataclay templater, or similar spreadsheet-to-composition automation solutions is important. Knowledge of these tools expands your ability to implement different automation approaches depending on project requirements.

After Effects and JavaScript Knowledge – Strong knowledge of After Effects, expressions (JavaScript), and templated production pipelines is required. Comfort with scripting enables you to create sophisticated automated behaviors that would be impossible through manual keyframing alone.

Brand Adaptation Skills – The ability to work with brand guidelines and adapt them for efficient automated output is essential. You must balance brand consistency requirements with automation constraints, ensuring templates produce on-brand results across varied applications.

Communication Skills – Clear, proactive English communication is crucial. You should be able to document setups comprehensively, surface risks early, ask clarifying questions, and collaborate efficiently in a remote environment where written communication is primary.
