Data is not just about volume. It is about reliability, scale, and the ability to turn raw information into something useful. HyreSnap, a recruitment technology company building AI-powered hiring tools, is looking for a Lead Data Engineer who understands that production-grade data systems are the backbone of any intelligent product. This is a fully remote role for someone who has spent years building extraction pipelines, wrestling with anti-bot protections, and integrating LLMs into real production workflows.

This is a senior role for someone with six to ten years of experience in production data engineering. You will design end-to-end pipelines covering extraction, normalization, deduplication, validation, and loading. You will build scalable web scraping and extraction frameworks capable of handling JavaScript-heavy websites, schema drift, and proxy rotation. You will develop agentic extraction workflows that use rule-based logic and LLM escalation, complete with structured outputs, retries, and human-review mechanisms. You will also build production-ready LLM systems with prompt versioning, evaluation datasets, and observability. If you have experience with Airflow, Snowflake, and AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor, this role will suit you.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on expertise in Python and Advanced SQL, with deep experience in web scraping at scale. You have proven experience integrating LLMs into production extraction pipelines, along with hands-on work in agentic workflows, tool calling, and evaluation frameworks. You have at least one year of hands-on Snowflake experience and formal people-management experience with at least one direct report. Experience with Redshift, AWS, vector databases, and LLM evaluation tools like Braintrust or Promptfoo is a strong advantage.
This is a full-time, fully remote position. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
