Job Description

Remote is looking for a Manager of Time and Attendance to own the planning, implementation, and service delivery for its Lifecycle Time and Attendance team. As the all-in-one global HR platform eliminating barriers to international hiring, Remote operates across more than 80 countries and is shaping the future of work at scale. This is an exciting time to join the Lifecycle Operations team and make a personal impact in the global employment space, working at the intersection of HR operations, wage and hour compliance, people leadership, and AI-enabled process innovation.

In this role, you will guide, coach, and develop direct reports to build a high-performing Time and Attendance team, fostering a positive, inclusive team culture across international borders in a fully remote, asynchronous environment. You will lead performance management through bi-annual evaluations, drive recruitment, training, mentoring, and supervision of the regional team, and serve as the subject matter expert and final escalation point on all high-risk Time and Attendance topics including complex wage and hour disputes, policy interpretation, and disciplinary matters related to timekeeping compliance. You will partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Employee Relations to enhance Time and Attendance processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures, and drive process optimisation including identifying automation opportunities to improve quality and efficiency. Ensuring efficient, compliant delivery of Time and Attendance services within agreed KPIs and SLAs, managing confidential employee data with utmost discretion, and championing the responsible adoption of AI-assisted tools across the team will all be central to your leadership in this role.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on people management experience with a strong coaching mindset, specifically leading distributed international teams, along with a proven track record in HR Operations across multiple countries. Deep knowledge of Time and Attendance matters, associated wage and hour laws, complex policy exceptions, and disciplinary processes across various jurisdictions is essential, with a particular focus on APAC labour law and complex Time and Attendance case resolution in the region. You are tech-savvy with experience across digital tools and a strong orientation toward process optimisation and automation. You are comfortable working in a service level environment with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, manage employee data with professionalism and discretion, and write and speak fluent English. Startup or remote working experience and additional languages are meaningful advantages.

Remote's compensation philosophy is built on fairness, pay equity, and paying above in-location rates to support global talent hiring and bring local wealth to developing countries. The wide salary range reflects Remote's geo-differential model, with actual pay determined by location, experience, and skills. APAC-based candidates are prioritised for this role as Remote encourages team diversification across regions.

Salary: USD 48,850 to 109,900 per annum, geo-adjusted based on location
