Role Overview – Vastika Inc is hiring a QA Automation Engineer for a full-time, remote position serving USA-based operations. This position is ideal for skilled quality assurance professionals with strong test automation expertise, software testing knowledge, and the ability to develop and maintain automated test frameworks, ensure code quality, identify defects effectively, collaborate with development teams, and support continuous delivery within a dynamic technology environment.

Test Automation Framework Development – You will design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks that support efficient and scalable testing across applications and platforms. You will evaluate automation tools, establish best practices, implement automation architecture, and continuously improve frameworks to maximize testing efficiency and coverage.

Automated Test Case Development – You will develop automated test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing scenarios using appropriate testing frameworks and tools. You will write clear, maintainable test scripts, ensure proper test data setup, and document test cases for team reference and future maintenance.

Test Automation Implementation – You will implement test automation across software development projects by working with development teams, understanding requirements, creating test plans, and executing automated test suites. You will identify automation opportunities, prioritize high-impact test scenarios, and continuously expand automated test coverage.

Defect Detection and Reporting – You will identify, document, and report software defects discovered through automation testing using defect tracking systems. You will provide clear defect descriptions, reproduction steps, severity assessments, and supporting evidence to facilitate rapid resolution by development teams.

API Testing and Validation – You will develop and execute automated API tests to validate backend services, data integration, and system interoperability. You will utilize API testing tools, validate data formats, verify response codes, and ensure proper API functionality across environments.

Cross-Browser and Device Testing – You will develop and maintain automated tests that validate application functionality across multiple browsers, operating systems, and device types. You will configure testing environments, manage device/browser compatibility matrices, and ensure consistent user experience across platforms.

CI/CD Pipeline Integration – You will integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery. You will configure test execution in pipeline environments, manage test execution timing, and report test results to development teams.

Performance and Load Testing – You will develop and execute automated performance and load tests to evaluate application performance under various conditions. You will analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, benchmark performance baselines, and support optimization efforts.
