Role Overview – Advenser we are hiring experienced Rebar Detailers with 2–10 years of hands-on experience to create detailed reinforcement drawings for concrete structures in commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. This role requires strong understanding of structural engineering principles, rebar detailing standards, and ability to interpret structural drawings to produce accurate fabrication-ready rebar details.

Rebar Detailing – You will prepare comprehensive rebar placement drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and fabrication drawings for structural elements including slabs, beams, columns, walls, foundations, footings, staircases, and retaining walls using AutoCAD or specialized rebar detailing software like RebarCAD, CADS RC, or similar tools. Creating detailed drawings that show exact bar positions, spacing, cover requirements, hooks, bends, and splices.

Structural Knowledge – Strong understanding of structural engineering concepts, concrete design principles, and reinforcement requirements according to design codes. Ability to interpret structural drawings, design calculations, and specifications to produce accurate rebar details that meet structural integrity requirements. Understanding of reinforcement principles including main bars, distribution bars, shear reinforcement, and confinement requirements.

Bar Bending Schedules – Preparing accurate bar bending schedules (BBS) with bar marks, diameters, shapes, dimensions, total lengths, and quantities. Creating detailed shape codes following standard notation (ACI, BS, or project-specific standards). Ensuring BBS is clear, complete, and ready for fabrication shop use without requiring additional clarification.

Standards Compliance – Ensuring all rebar drawings comply with international standards (ACI 318, BS 8666, or Eurocode) and project specifications. Understanding of rebar grades (250, 415, 500 MPa), cover requirements (nominal cover, minimum cover), spacing limitations, and standard detailing practices. Following local codes and contractor preferences for bar arrangement and detailing methods.

Accuracy and Quality – Maintaining high accuracy in bar schedules, quantities, dimensions, and details. Ensuring drawings are error-free and construction-ready to avoid issues during site execution. Conducting self-checks and peer reviews before submitting drawings. Understanding the constructability aspect and ensuring rebar arrangements can be practically installed on site.

Coordination – Coordinating rebar details with architectural and MEP drawings to ensure proper embedment locations for MEP penetrations, sleeves, and inserts. Working with structural engineers to clarify design intent and resolve detailing challenges. Responding to contractor RFIs regarding reinforcement details.

Software Proficiency – Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory for 2D rebar detailing. Experience with specialized rebar detailing software like RebarCAD, CADS RC, or similar tools is highly preferred. Familiarity with Revit for 3D rebar modeling will be considered advantageous.
