Role Overview – Green World Renewable Energy is hiring a Residential Finance Compliance Officer for a fully remote, work-from-home position based in the United Kingdom. This position is ideal for experienced compliance professionals with strong financial services compliance expertise, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to ensure adherence to FCA regulations, consumer credit compliance, and regulatory standards within residential renewable energy finance and consumer lending operations.

Compliance Management and Regulatory Adherence – You will manage compliance operations by ensuring adherence to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations, Consumer Credit Act requirements, Consumer Duty principles, and all applicable financial services regulations governing residential finance products, renewable energy financing, and consumer lending activities.

FCA Compliance and Consumer Credit Regulation – You will ensure FCA compliance and consumer credit regulation adherence by implementing FCA rules and guidance, maintaining compliance with consumer credit regulations, ensuring proper authorization and permissions, adhering to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, and ensuring all residential finance activities comply with regulatory requirements.

Policy Development and Implementation – You will develop and implement compliance policies by creating compliance procedures, drafting policy documents, establishing internal controls, updating policies in response to regulatory changes, and ensuring all staff understand and follow compliance requirements in residential finance operations.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation – You will conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies by identifying compliance risks, assessing regulatory exposure, evaluating operational practices, implementing risk controls, monitoring risk indicators, and ensuring proactive management of compliance risks.

Consumer Duty and Customer Outcomes – You will ensure Consumer Duty compliance by implementing fair value assessments, monitoring customer outcomes, ensuring clear and transparent communications, preventing foreseeable harm, and ensuring residential finance products and services deliver good customer outcomes in accordance with FCA Consumer Duty requirements.

Affordability and Creditworthiness Assessment – You will oversee affordability and creditworthiness compliance by ensuring proper affordability assessments, implementing responsible lending practices, reviewing credit checks and verification processes, ensuring customers are not offered unsuitable credit, and maintaining compliance with responsible lending standards.

Documentation and Record Keeping – You will manage compliance documentation and record keeping by maintaining regulatory documentation, organizing compliance records, ensuring proper file retention, documenting compliance activities and decisions, and ensuring audit trails support regulatory inspections and reporting requirements.

Monitoring and Reporting – You will monitor compliance and prepare reports by conducting compliance audits, reviewing transactions and processes, tracking compliance metrics, preparing regulatory reports, reporting to senior management and the compliance committee, and providing insights on compliance performance and risks.
