Job Description

Developing high-performance computational models for complex reservoir systems and fluid dynamics requires software engineers who bridge rigorous theoretical physics with advanced algorithms. Designing scientific software for energy sector applications demands deep mathematical precision, high-performance computing techniques, and clean, scalable code architecture. HAMF Engineering Solutions is seeking an experienced Scientific Software Developer (C++) to build next-generation simulation applications. This remote position is ideal for an accomplished developer holding a master's or doctoral degree in physics or engineering who excels at translating complex mathematical models into production-grade software.

The primary responsibilities of this position involve designing, developing, and optimizing advanced C++ applications for scientific and engineering simulations. Daily duties require implementing numerical algorithms, linear algebra routines, and physics-based computational models to solve complex engineering problems. The role involves participating in code reviews, writing technical documentation, maintaining existing simulation software, and collaborating closely with domain specialists and cross-functional engineering teams across the entire software development lifecycle. Additionally, the developer will work asynchronously across a remote setup to deliver high-quality, fully tested code built for high-performance computing environments.

Candidates applying for this role must hold a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering, supported by at least five years of professional software development experience using modern C++. A strong mathematical background with practical experience in numerical methods, differential equations, or simulation algorithms is required, alongside fluent English communication skills and a proven track record of working independently in remote software teams. Experience or strong professional interest in petroleum engineering, subsurface modeling, or scientific computing is highly preferred, as is familiarity with modern C++ standards and Java programming.

The position offers a competitive remote compensation package aligned with European and Middle Eastern market standards for specialized C++ scientific developers, with full work-from-home flexibility for candidates based in the UAE.
