Role Overview – Programmers.ai is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a full-time, remote position serving UAE-based operations. This position is ideal for experienced data professionals with strong data engineering expertise, advanced technical skills, and the ability to architect data solutions effectively, lead data initiatives, manage complex infrastructure, ensure data quality, mentor team members, and support organizational data excellence within a dynamic software and technology business environment.

Data Architecture and Design Leadership – You will lead data architecture initiatives by designing comprehensive data solutions, planning infrastructure strategies, and establishing architectural standards. You will architect scalable systems, optimize performance, and ensure architectural alignment with business requirements. You will document architecture decisions and mentor team members on design approaches.

Data Pipeline Development and Optimization – You will design and develop advanced data pipelines by creating extraction processes, building complex transformations, and implementing robust loading mechanisms. You will architect scalable pipelines, optimize performance, monitor reliability, and troubleshoot issues. You will mentor junior engineers on pipeline development best practices.

ETL Solution Development and Management – You will develop comprehensive ETL solutions by designing workflows, implementing transformations, and automating data processes. You will build efficient ETL systems, monitor performance, optimize efficiency, and support continuous improvement. You should mentor team members in ETL development.
