Kunai is looking for an expert Senior Frontend Developer with strong leadership qualities and a keen eye for user experience to join its client's Application Engineering and Platforms group. In this role, you will lead the technical design and implementation of major features across multiple frontend platforms, acting as the primary technical partner to UX and UI designers and translating high-fidelity designs into functional, accessible user interfaces. You will drive architectural decisions across Angular and React ecosystems, advocate for best practices, and champion the adoption of new technologies as they emerge. Mentoring junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing will be a core part of your leadership contribution. On the hands-on development side, you will architect and develop scalable, maintainable applications using modern versions of both Angular and React, implement robust state management solutions including NgRx, Redux, and MobX as appropriate, and build and maintain Micro-Frontend architectures spanning multiple frameworks. You will collaborate with backend teams to design, consume, and optimise RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and write comprehensive unit, integration, and E2E tests maintaining over eighty percent code coverage.

The ideal candidate brings ten or more years of professional frontend development experience with a proven track record in complex, large-scale applications, along with demonstrated technical leadership or mentorship experience. Expert-level proficiency in both Angular and React, a strong command of TypeScript and modern JavaScript, and a keen eye for visual detail and user experience are all essential. Extensive experience designing and consuming complex RESTful and GraphQL APIs, solid experience with modern testing frameworks, and familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes or OpenShift are required. A Bachelor's degree is required, or equivalent specialised experience in its place. Experience with data visualisation libraries such as AG Grid or D3.js, a background in financial services or a regulated industry, and experience with additional frontend frameworks are all meaningful advantages.
