About the Role

Calidig is expanding our design team and seeking a talented UI/UX Designer with 3+ years of experience to craft intuitive and engaging digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate designer to shape user-centered solutions that make a real impact. You'll be responsible for designing seamless user interfaces and experiences that balance business objectives with user needs, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma as your primary design tool. Your role will involve conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate solutions, translating complex requirements into simple, elegant interface designs that users love. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals, establish and maintain design systems, component libraries, and style guides to ensure consistency across all digital products. You'll create user flows, journey maps, and information architecture to optimize the end-to-end user experience, design responsive interfaces that work flawlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. You'll participate in design critiques and iterate based on feedback from team members and users, advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle, and stay current with the latest UI/UX trends, design tools, and best practices. The ideal candidate combines strong visual design skills with a deep understanding of user psychology, possesses excellent problem-solving abilities, and thrives in a collaborative environment where they can turn ideas into meaningful user experiences that delight and engage.

What We're Looking For

We need a UI/UX Designer with a minimum of 3+ years of proven experience designing web and mobile applications with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and final deliverables. You must have expert-level proficiency in Figma including components, auto-layout, prototyping, and collaborative design features. Strong understanding of UI/UX principles is essential, including visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, accessibility standards, and responsive design patterns. Experience with user research methodologies such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and persona development is required. Proficiency in creating wireframes, user flows, journey maps, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively is crucial. The ideal candidate has a solid grasp of design systems and the ability to create and maintain scalable component libraries that ensure consistency. Knowledge of HTML/CSS basics and understanding of front-end development constraints and possibilities is highly valued. Experience designing for both iOS and Android platforms following platform-specific guidelines (Material Design, Human Interface Guidelines) is important. You should possess excellent visual design skills with attention to detail and ability to create pixel-perfect interfaces. Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders and development teams are essential. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required. Mandatory skills include Figma expertise, web and mobile interface design experience, strong UI/UX principles knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. Bonus points for experience with animation tools like Principle or After Effects, knowledge of front-end frameworks, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
